The company Hunger Hydraulik in Lohr a. Main, Germany has produced a giant special hydraulic cylinder, which is for a customer in Far East. After the delivery the hydraulic cylinder will be used on a dredge on the open sea. By means of steel cables the cylinder will lift and lower the huge excavator shovel, within two coaches could easily have room. With a retracted overall length of 25,6 m, a bottom flange of 2,15 m and a weight of over 200 t the most enormous cylinder of the company history has been built. The special cylinder can produce a tensile force of 1.500 t over a stroke of 20 m.
